  1. MY BOOK! I didn't think a topic about time-travel paradoxes I started would provoke so many replies! I wrote a book about my interest in time which is titled "Hope to time-travel". For those interested I'm willing to e-mail softcopies for free. Just email:[email protected]ahoo.com (requesting a copy). I advertised my book in the Time Travel Institute Discussion Forum along with other places. I'd be grateful if you could send feedback, but you don't have to.
  2. You don't have to stay in a time or place you don't like! You can leave your physical body. You can train to travel to a better day. Just follow the above instructions to move your spirit freely in space-time!
  3. These amazing instructions might lead you to travel outside your body and move back and forth in time. This could be your way to complete freedom. You can time-travel mentally at least and maybe even astrally with your awareness. Just TRY it.

    Meeting Myself!

The Problems with Meeting Myself... I don't particularly want to have a sex change in the future but what if I did? If or when I meet my older self we could have sex and have a child! Why would that child have to be me Lara? Maybe that child would become very interested in time-travel exactly like me. After growing up to become me he might even manage to travel back in time... If this was the case I would remember having strange parents(probably claiming to be me at a different age. This would imply that I am "really" the only member in my family! My true family tree would me as my own son (and later or sooner) father and mother. I doubt this because I'm not trying to be my own parents. My older self might try to kill me to experiment with time paradoxes. If he succeeded he wouldn't live long enough to succeed! If my older self gives me a copy of his autobiography would this cause a paradox? I probably would read it to learn about what going to happen to me. When will I first have sex and with who? Who will I marry? Are my attempts of having a book published worth it? Will I ever be a famous writer? My certain future cannot be written unless it has already been predetermined. If I can't stop these events from happening to me (including what I will do) then I have no freewill! Since I alreadt have this book I didn't write it. I just copied every word out of the book I was given by my older self. Is that possible? How can a book exist if noone actually wrote it? I don't know the answer but I don't see why physical laws would prevent time-travel from creating matter... CONCLUSION I don't think that when my older self travels back in time he'ill be changing history or entering another universe. I just plan to move in time remaining within the same four dimentional universe. So when I plan to do things in the future I expect them to have effects on the past and present. This is how I hope to meet myself! I simply couldn't prevent myself from being born so there is no paradox. ------------------ Paul Curran
  5. MEETING MYSELF! I honestly believe that one day in the future I will travel back in time. You can call me crazy! Within the next few years I hope that wormholes will allow me to move back to 31/10/1983 00:00. Try to understand me, I seriously hope to time-travel! This topic really gets me excited and it's what I want to do with my life. So if I ever manage to travel back in time I probably would be able to visit my younger self, which is me. Despite the suggestions that seeing or touching your other self would be destructive I find no reason to believe that. If I just remember a place and time to meet myself until I became my older self we could meet. Cool! Following are times & places where I tried to meet my older self. I'm not even sure if he was there or not. Meeting Myself Attempt 31/10/1983 Results At the exact time requested(according to my watch) I seen a man passing me with a dog nearby. We were the only ones in that quiet area. Could that man have been the time travelled version of me without the freewill to come over to or talk to me? I don't know but I will find out! I didn't see him in much detail. I think and hope it was me. Meeting Myself Attempt 25/12/2000 Results It was very dark and scary. From about 10 to 8pm until 8pm I stood near area. Conclusion I couldn't find my older self! Possible reasons why my older self was not at the area planned: *Lack of freewill(because he's a time traveller) *The older version's knowledge of remembering when he was me I didn't meet him that time. *Painful fear(shock of meeting) *Snow and ice make it impossible to walk to location. *He's already dead! *He left this time. *It's very difficult for us to meet because if we do, the older me would probably reveal my future which could cause paradoxes. It's necessary for me to work things out on my own. Plan:Just stare at my older self. Don't ask about those things I really want to know. Meeting Myself Attempt 2/1/2001 4am in my bedroom Results I was asleep and found nothing suggesting an older me was here. Conclusion Without a long talk with my older self I can't help feeling less sure. But I certainly still hope to time-travel... Paul Curran Co Derry, Ireland ------------------ Paul Curran
  6. For those interested this is an extract of my book... I don't think the idea of time travel is stupid. It's ] certainly not something you could say is impossible ] without covering a lot of material and raising a lot ] of points. I find some of the objections without] foundation.]] THEORIES ] Time-travel to the past is impossible because if it ] was possible we would be invaded by time travellers] from the future.] ] COMMENT: What's makes you think time travellers are ] not here already. A lot of them probably came back ] for the year 2000. There is evidence that suggests ] someone was around when dinosaurs were alive. Maybe ] they are hiding. Imagine if time travellers came back ] from 289 117 608 AD to spy on us! This could be a ] primary source of reference for an ancient history ] project. But with all of space and time to go to why ] would they come here in particular. There have been ] reports of claims of successful time travel. The] answer remains inclusive. ]] Time-travel to the past is impossible because if it ] was possible we would be able to go back and kill our ] grandmothers which creates paradoxes that are] impossible and cannot happen.] ] COMMENT: It is true that paradoxes cannot happen as ] they don't make sense. But lets define a paradox. It ] is an event that contradicts and destroys effectively ] the same event. Why would you think travelling to the ] past would allow you to change history. Maybe time ] will protect the past preventing anyone from making ] changes. This means if you time travel back it all ] already happened. You could find out about what you ] are going to do before you leave your time.]]] ] Physics has a lot to say about the possibilities of ] time travel as shown in the Back to the future movies, ] Timecop, Twelve Monkeys, The Terminator, etc. The ] movies are great and some of them explore the ] paradoxes involved with moving back in time.] ] In reality time travel is much more than just science ] fiction. Some physicists are seriously saying it ] might be possible. Time travel to the future has been ] experimentally proven to be possible. In 1905 Albert ] Einstein had his time dilation at high speeds theory] published.] ] It was understandable for there to be doubt then since ] it was only some clerk at a patents office(Albert ] Einstein) who revealed this idea. He didn't break ] into fame until 1919 when Author Edditington proved ] Einstein right about gravity bending light.] ] But as time passed the ability to doubt was slowly ] destroyed. In 1941 biologically scientists showed ] that time slowed down at high speeds. The life of ] muons which was very brief was made longer for those ] who moved very rapidly. This showed that a living ] thing's body slows down and it's not just clocks or] even just a theory.] ] A physical experiment was later carried out in 1971 ] when atomic clocks which were very accurate were flown ] very fast. Another clock was left on earth so there ] would be something to compare the flying clock to. ] After days the flying clock was brought back and ] although it was only slightly different, the ] difference was the exact amount demanded by special ] relativity. The time dilation effect became a fact in] science.] ] This effect has been tested again several times and ] reconfirmed again and again. After all this there ] exists no doubt with foundation about the reality of ] time dilation. There are two ways of slowing time ] down i.e. making less time pass so that the future ] comes faster, moving quickly(as special relativity ] shows) and strong gravity (as general relativity] shows).] ] In 1907 Einstein worked out that moving through space ] and gravity pulling you is pretty much the same thing. ] He thought what someone would feel like falling off a ] roof. Travelling through space at a constant speed ] would feel exactly like being on earth with our ] gravity pulling you. Of course you probably know this ] already from common experiences. While you in a lift ] are moving up you feel a force pushing you to the ] floor as if you suddenly gain weight.] ] When you are moving down floors you feel as if you ] have been lifted and it seems like you suddenly lose ] weight. Your weight is therefore relative and it can ] be changed although your mass is not. These forces ] feel exactly like gravity pushing and pulling you. If ] you closed your eyes you could not really tell the ] difference between gravity and speed. Therefore ] speed=gravity. Since speed can dilate time, gravity ] must also dilate time. This became general] relativity.] ] In 1915 Einstein was working on his more general ] theory of relativity. He developed a very different ] idea of what gravity was compared to what Newton ] thought. Einstein told us GRAVITY TELLS SPACE-TIME ] HOW TO CURVE AND SPACE-TIME TELLS GRAVITY HOW TO MOVE ] In other words gravity is a warp in space-time. ] Gravity would not exist if space-time was rigid like ] Newton imagined. Gravity does not just exist. It is ] there because a dent in space-time is there.] ] Imagine a large piece of fabric. After placing a ] large ball to represent the sun in the middle a large ] dent occurs. It's almost like a hole. This cause ] distortion which is easier to see if there are squares ] on the fabric. Other bodies in space, that is planets ] orbiting the sun are forced to follow this curved ] path. You can test smaller balls falling towards the] curve in the fabric.] ] Later using the general theory of relativity Einstein ] thought that gravitational waves might exist.]]] ] Studying the geometry of space-time ] Time and space can easily be measured using simple ] methods. In some cases different clocks disagree ] between the amount of time that passed.]]
  7. My book HOPE TO TIME-TRAVEL is all in Microsoft Word, with few graphics. If you would like I can remove the four scanned images of me so it takes only a few seconds to e-mail it to you. I DON'T NEED your postal address. All I need is your e-mail address to e-mail it to you. How is it I become a physicist before completing Highschool? Well I just studied the physics of time-travel on my own. I think Einstein's General Theory of Relativity is so cool! But at high school I was in a low class and hated that. I'm not smart at everything but I can certainly understand difficult concepts of physics. Yours faithfully, Paul Curran,

  13. Different Forms of Time-travel... There are several ways a person can be imagined to move backwards and forwards in time. -Physical time-travel (very common in fiction) As in : *The Terminator Movies *Back to the future series *Twelve Monkeys *TimeCop *Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure *Freejack -Physical time-travel (reported as true) As: *Victor Goddard in a flight to the future during 1934 *Squirrel's trip to another time in a walk *Temporal Transmission Research Project in which a scientist is sent to 1918 *Caduccus coil's region in "Project Magnet". -Astral time-travel (fiction) (since inhabiting your own body when you were younger requires your astral body i.e.spirit or awareness to move back in time) Peggy Sue Got Married (since Phil's astral body moved back in time over the same day many time explaining deja vu i.e.he was burned and killed but awoke in a uninjured body so his physical body certainly didn't move in time) Groundhog Day -Astral time-travel (reported as true) Ed Morrell in Out of the Body Experience when he seen his future wife. Mrs Turrell-Clarke when she found herself in body of 13th century nun briefly. The use of The ASTRAL TIME MACHINE, i.e. Hyper-Dimentional Resonator If I move in time consciously I would be moving my astral body +physical body or just my astral body... Assuming the astral and physical body are the only bodies we have there would be no other even theoretical type of time-travel. Do you really want to TALK TO YOURSELF? If I ever make a journey in time I hope I meet myself. Imagine seeing another version of yourself. It would be private as the only person that would know is myself. Since we're the same person he'd know every detail about me. If I ever speak to my future self there are so many questions I'd like to ask. These are: *Do my friends now in this present still be my friends in the future? *Can you change the past i.e. go up another path in time? If you can't are you trapped in this timeline? *Have I any freewill and is there any possibility I could avoid becoming you? *In the years to come what fun and friends will I have? *Will I suffer any pain and should I try to avoid it? *What is it like to travel through time? *Will I get married and what would it be like? *What is the next word I will say after this question? *Will I be happy with the way events in my life occured and how will I feel? *What will next Saturday's lottery numbers be? What I'd like to tell my older self (or would he already know?). *The job I want to have in the future. *The things I enjoy doing. *The things that hurt me. *My main goal in life. *My feelings of joy and pain. *Explain that I want to have freewill and excitemment. 14. I would love to believe crasy stories about time-travel experiments being conducted. Is time-travel even possible? The laws of quauntum gravity which are barely understood may reveal weather we could hold a wormhole open and convert it into a time machine... I KNOW TIME-TRAVEL TO THE FUTURE IS POSSIBLE AND PROVEN IN 1971. All that is needed is to travel at a fast speed or sit in a strong gravitational field(like that one near a large planet such as Jupiter)! It all sounds so mad but we have to think carefully when deciding to believe time-travel to the past is allowed by physical science or not. Would nature destroy any time machine before it has a chance to function? I don't think so. I guess we should wait to see what scientists get up to although the job of building a time machine might take thousands of centuries! There are several solutions to Einstein's general theory of relativity which allow travel to the past! But these usually require things like a cylinder of matter infinite in lenght or cosmic strings or spinning blackholes or a huge amount of anti-gravity or whatever...
  15. I have wanted to travel in time so much1 Do you want to know why? Reasons why I want to travel backwards in time to 1983... *For an exciting adventure *To feel free *To see amazing events i.e. my younger self being baptised *To relly make friends with people when hey experience time-travel *To be able to talk seriously about time-travel (without being laughed at) To share how I feel about this extreme interest *Express the thrill (and I won't have to hide my feeling any longer) *To live my life the way I believe is right, make it worthwhile and do what I'd like to *To know the future and win the lottery (if necessary) *To show that I am special and capable of wonderful things AIM: 00:00 31/10/1983 Why I want to travel forwards in time to 2058 To see and use the technology of 2058 i.e.computer games, toys etc To witness strange meetings i.e.meet my classmate then in heir seventies To discover what people I once knew are now doing To see what Ireland and my home looks like in 2058 To see what my best friend is and was like To explore what happened to the "Curran" family(my family)! AIM: 00:00 31/10/2058 Why stop time? *To do the things I want to do without being made fun of *To be free *For enjoyment *It's so strange Why do I want to have Out of the Body Experiences? PRIME REASON:To allow my astral body(non-physical spirit)to travel freely in space and time... *To adventure in different places and times *Freedom *To escape from pain Why induce DEJA VU(travelling back in time to live the sme day many times)? *It's cool and strange *To experiment with what ifs i.e. what would things be like if I did things differently *To do mad things! Conclusion The main reason I want to travel in time in either direction is very simple. IT'S FUN. It's not about being so rich or famous or proving a point...
